Introduction
Codibu ("we," "our," or "us") — the operator of Codibu Social Poster, our TikTok-integrated social publishing application — is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services, including Codibu Social Poster. Please read this privacy policy carefully.
For the purposes of TikTok's developer policies and Login Kit / Content Posting API review, the controller of personal information processed through the TikTok integration is Codibu, operating under the application name "Codibu Social Poster".
Google User Data (Sign-In and YouTube APIs)
Codibu uses Google OAuth for optional Sign in with Google and for YouTube channel connection in Social Poster. This section describes how Codibu accesses, uses, stores, shares, protects, retains, and deletes Google user data, as required by Google API Services User Data Policy and Google OAuth verification.
Google user data we collect
When you authorize Codibu, we may collect or process the following categories of Google user data:
- Sign in with Google (scopes openid, email, profile): your name, email address, and Google account identifier
- YouTube connection (scope youtube.readonly): YouTube channel IDs, channel titles, and channel thumbnails for channels you own or manage
- YouTube publishing (scope youtube.upload): video files and metadata you explicitly schedule to publish through Social Poster
- OAuth access and refresh tokens, stored encrypted, to maintain your connection and publish on your behalf when you request it
How we use Google user data
We use Google user data only to provide or improve user-facing Codibu features you request. We do not use Google user data for advertising, selling to data brokers, creditworthiness, lending, interest-based or personalized advertising, building unrelated databases, or training AI models.
- Authenticate you and create or link your Codibu account
- Display which Google account is connected and list YouTube channels you can publish to
- Upload videos you schedule in Social Poster to the YouTube channel you select
- Maintain security, troubleshoot connection errors, and comply with Google API policies
How we share, transfer, or disclose Google user data
We do not sell Google user data. We do not transfer or disclose Google user data to third parties for advertising, data brokers, information resellers, creditworthiness, or lending. We share Google user data only with Google LLC when required to operate the APIs you authorized, with infrastructure and hosting providers that process data on our behalf under contract and confidentiality obligations, or when required by law.
How we protect Google user data
Security procedures are in place to protect the confidentiality of your data. We use encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for sensitive credentials such as OAuth tokens, access controls, and monitoring on production systems that store Google user data.
Retention and deletion of Google user data
We retain Google user data for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes in this policy unless a longer period is required by law. When retention is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize the data. You can disconnect YouTube in Social Poster → Platforms (which stops new publishes using stored tokens). You can delete your Codibu account in Settings → Security → Delete account, or email privacy@codibu.com from your account email to request deletion of Google-related data tied to your account.
Codibu's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Because these cookies are necessary for the website and the features you request to work, you cannot reject them.

Account and Data Deletion
You may delete your Codibu account and associated personal data at any time. Signed-in users can delete their account from Settings → Security → Delete account. You may also email us at privacy@codibu.com with the subject "Account deletion request" from the email address on your account.
When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your profile, projects, and connected third-party OAuth tokens (including Google and YouTube tokens used by Social Poster) according to our retention policy. Some billing or legal records may be retained where required by law.
If you connected X (Twitter) to Social Poster via OAuth, Codibu attempts to revoke our X API tokens when you remove the account or delete your Codibu profile. X may still list Codibu under Connected apps at https://x.com/settings/connected_apps. If you connected more than once, revoke each Codibu entry there so X removes all authorizations.
Google Sign-In and YouTube (Social Poster)
If you choose "Continue with Google" or connect YouTube in Codibu Social Poster, we receive information from Google LLC under the OAuth scopes you approve on the consent screen.
Data we collect from Google
- Basic profile: name, email address, and Google account identifier (Sign-In: openid, email, profile)
- YouTube connection: channel IDs, channel titles, and thumbnails (youtube.readonly)
- YouTube publishing: video uploads you schedule through Social Poster (youtube.upload)
- OAuth tokens stored encrypted to maintain your connection and publish on your behalf
How we use Google data
- Authenticate you and create or link your Codibu account
- List YouTube channels you own or manage so you can choose a publishing destination
- Upload videos you explicitly schedule through Social Poster
- Maintain session security and comply with Google API Services User Data Policy
Storage, sharing, and deletion
Google user data is stored on secure servers with encryption in transit (TLS) and access controls. We do not sell Google user data. We share it only with Google when required to operate the APIs you authorized, with service providers that host our infrastructure under contract, or when required by law.
You can disconnect YouTube in Social Poster → Platforms at any time, which revokes our use of stored tokens for new publishes. Full deletion of Google-related data tied to your account occurs when you delete your Codibu account or email privacy@codibu.com.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this privacy policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. When we no longer need your information, we will securely delete or anonymize it.

Children's Privacy
Our services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
